If it makes you feel better Hannah, I finally came up with an idea for NaNoWriMo. Well more like a title: The Blood Temple.

In fact thanks to a fun map creator program, I am going to have fun with it and design the actual temple soon.

Tell me about this program... I might be able to use it for what I'm writing... I was trying to sketch something out but I am a terrible artist and should never attempt it unless I want a land of three kingdoms that looks like a twister went through the entire thing...

Was the map creator program you're referring to possibly ProFantasy? Or is there a free version?

Nope. The Map Creator was originally meant for players of Ashen Empires to build and create their own dungeons. They can put in all sorts of monsters, NPCs, and add all sorts of fun stuff(dragons too if you coughed up 100 tokens I think) But because of the limited space to work with, it wont be great for big scale stuff and an overview of the world. But you could design cities and such.

Well its sorta difficult because you would have to build each house piece by piece. Its a bit tedious to use at times.

But of course you can just get a Age of Empires game and use its content creator to build an overworld.

Trying to get the map creator to work at the moment and I can't seem to get it to work. Not sure why either as I remember clearly making and putting up a map to the game.

Ha! Figured out why I couldn't use it. I needed to download a couple things for the program to work.

Oh! Well if you want to try it out you have to download the full Ashen Empires game because it uses the data to run the game to use in the program. Its not a big install though. You may need to create an account too. But thats easy as registering to this site I think.
