HELP MEH!

I want to write a poem for my cousin's birthday, but I am completely uninspired.



What would you lot do in a situation such as this?

Is this a gift for said cousin? Write about him/her. I once wrote a poem for my brother. It was hilarious.

Yes, it is a gift for her. I am currently broke sooo....

I could, but the poem would turn out comedic if I tried. I'm trying to be sweet.

Personally, I'd rather receive a funny poem. As long as it's all light-hearted, write about her flaws. All the little quirks you love about her. Sweet poems are so impersonal (well, unless it's like romantic or something, but I assume no incest is involved). I'm sure she'll love it if you make fun of her. xD

Like Hannah says, make it funny...

And remember, poems do NOT have to rhyme!

To make it easy, you could always use her name and make an acronym... Kinda like Unit did here...

Sorry, I don't have much for inspiration... Most of what I write just comes to me naturally, no inspiration needed for the idea, just to get from start to finish... The ideas come quite randomly, in fact like a month ago, I think, I got hit with three ideas just going out for lunch with a friend, although I haven't actually begun on any of them further than figuring out the storylines and some character development on one of them.....
