Another Untitled Poem

The snow's too cold, and the icy bright
Fireflies zoom through broken starlight
He came in the evening, an unfortunate one
To tell me a story, of an ailing sun

And I saw inside, his flashing blue eyes
The nocturne, of one who knows too much and sighs
But really knows nothing at all
And at his will, I will fall

I tell him, no man, times running out
The cold is paralyzing, no time's about
This could only last for a second, so dear
It might only last for a moment, my dear

But he tells me there's warmth inside

So I grabbed his hand to enter the trance
and so, we were lost in the dance

We skipped around corners
Cut them through the head
Logic's no use
When you have the truth in your bread

He came in the evening, not under the sun
To tell me a story, we are not done

To save him from an ailing sun

I tell him,
we are not the unfortunate ones

Coolness.

But for the record, fireflies are only around in summer. Well, I assume they still exist at other times (otherwise they'd be extinct), but their butts aren't flamboyant this time of year.

I thought of that. But then decided I didn't care about that detail since I didn't think anyone else would notice. LOL guess I was wrong.

I never saw fireflies anytime of the year until this Autumn. I was always bitter that I never saw them before, so when I did, I cursed them out.

I notice everything. Don't you know this by now?!

The first time I saw them was this summer. We don't have them in California.
