In small-town Iowa, an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest.




Butter is one of those really fun movie where you can tell that the cast had a great time working on it. The plot revolves around a rather silly Butter sculpting competition. The 15 time champion has been asked to retire and give someone else a chance and while he as a nice guy has nothing against the idea his crazy power hungry wife aka Jennifer Garner doesn't intend to let this happen

The conflict between them grows until he storms out of the house and has sex with a stripper aka Olivia Wilde. This doesn't phase Jennifer Garner much. She simply decides to enter the butter carving competition herself

Meanwhile parallel to this story we have the story of a 10 year old orphan who has been bounced from foster home to foster home and now has finally landed in a stable and surprisingly sane family. Here she discovers her own talent for butter sculpting and wouldn't you know it all comes down to the competition between Jennifer Garner and the orphan girl. And Jennifer Garner has every intention of destroying

Meanwhile Olivia Wilde is pissed that she didn't get paid for the sex and intends to get her money. While trying to do this she discovers just how much she hates and wants to destroy Jennifer Garner


Overall it's a very funny and fresh movie and I highly recommend it. You can watch it here
