Never thought I'd ever hear myself say this!
I have officially finished my very first feature screenplay! A lot sooner than I thought, considering I only started writing it a week ago... It helps knowing every single major plot point before you begin! (I spent a considerable amount of time creating everything in the alternate world and outlining the screenplay from beginning to end before I began writing.)
OK, so I'm not officially finished, just with the very first draft... It'll probably go through a million edits considering the sloppiness of it...
I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed writing it and I really believe it would make a fantastic movie! There's moments that would make you laugh, cry, smile, frown, confuse you to hell.... There's so much action and a lot of magic... And the world itself is absolutely magnificent, I never honestly thought I had it in me to create something so great....
Definitely think I'm gonna try selling this or getting it optioned after I finish editing it...

Its always good to get the story down.
Good luck with the editing process.

Yep! And an amazing feeling, *seeing* everything I've created... Hopefully someday I can REALLY see it! Makes me kinda feel like god... Especially choosing who lives to see the end and who dies... Oh, and the few that pop back up from being dead... Well, one of them wasn't dead but knocked out... The antagonist dies though but gets brought back in the end for a sequel! (thanks for that idea, you inspired it, kinda!)
Thank you!
Thank you!

Thank you Rex! Me too! Well, after I finish the tedious editing process, that is! It does have a lot of potential...

*headdesk*
I just opened up the document to start editing and noticed the last save didn't save properly...
Ah, well, at least I remember it perfectly and it's in the last big scene, and less than 10 lines plus a bit of action...
Oh, and the end montage/narration....
Shouldn't take too long to rewrite these parts, thankfully!

That really sucks. I hate when your work doesn't save properly and you have to rewrite it. Luckily its easier the second time around. You have a good idea of what you want. While I haven't had to much problem with my writing, I have had lengthy posts explaining stuff and such and then something happens leaving me having to rewrite it all.
Re: Never thought I'd ever hear myself say this!
Very true! It actually took me half the time rewriting it than it did originally, because I knew right off who says what and what the actions were....

Don't forget to upload your work on a secure location and to keep a separate one on a flash drive. Triple safety. That's how I try to handle my term papers and so far it works great

Yeah, that's what I normally do, save it on the computer, on the flash drive and when closer to finishing store it in google docs... Dunno why I didn't do that that time, I think I had to be somewhere so I just closed my laptop in mid save and when I opened it the software was frozen...
Luckily it was easy to retype and now it's protected and ready to start editing, which I think I'm gonna put off till tomorrow because I'm so tired I'd probably mess it up more than I fix it!
