Do you have dental records?

I am curious. On all crime shows they seem to identify people by dental records. So am I curious. Do you have one? Is it mandatory in your country? And how do you get one?

I'm assuming they mean xrays and things you get when you go to the dentist. I guess if they have an idea of who the person is they can track down their dentist to confirm. I don't know haha. Never thought about it.

Dental records are just your records from the dentail office. Xrays and all that stuff. So yeah I guess if you go to the dentist and get xrayed for whatever reason you'd have them.

If you go to the dentist then yes, you have a dental record. It's the same as going to the doctor's office/hospital. You have a medical record.

Any kind of dental/health record is mandatory. If it's not documented, then it didn't happen.

Huh. Weird. I have only been to a dentist once back when I was 5 and that was for taking out a stubborn tooth and that was outside my country. I don't think I have any of these records then. Hmm guess they won't be able to identify my body if someone burns me to death.

Oh I wouldn't be to sure of that. Depending on how badly burned you are they can still get DNA. So if you were to go missing and someone noticed they might report you as missing. Which they would then collect DNA samples. If a body matching age height gender and such pops up they can then try and get DNA and then... well match it.
