Who Will Win 2012?
So election day is rearing it's ugly head once again and I have to wonder. Who do you guys think will win and who do you want to win?
All i know is that my state will vote for Romney.

Re: Who Will Win 2012?
Well, I took this quiz: http://www.isidewith.com/presidential-election-quiz?from=FcWCnP9G6&fbp=m9 which said that Jill Stein (Green party) shares my views the most. But because voting for anyone other than the two main candidates is kinda stupid and just a waste of a vote that could actually matter (at least until we get away from this whole bipartisan system), I voted for Obama.
But I think Romney will win. Regardless of the fact that the U.S. economy is actually improving faster than that of the rest of the world, stupid selfish Americans just don't see that, and they're not satisfied with such little improvement. And people think that a president really has that much power. That whatever is wrong is his fault. No one likes what's going on, so no one likes Obama any more. It was the same with Bush. The Democrat won in 2008 because the Republican screwed everything over so terribly in the previous term.

Re: Who Will Win 2012?
Hmm hard to say. Romney is now playing himself as a right wing nutjob but from what I heard before that he was somewhat normal. And if he decides to go back to his sanity if he wins the presidency this could mean that the republican party could be somewhat saved at least to a degree from the insane extremist that rule it now
Oh the other hand Romney seems like a weakling who is ready to change his position at any time so he might end up being a puppet like Bush. So Obama is probably better. Especially if he nuts up and goes on the offensive
Although Romney got the Mr. Burns nomination and that's says a lot...

I think that Obama will win, but I can't decide if I think that because I really believe it, or if I think that because I want it to be true. Either outcome has potential for entertainment. If Romney wins we get to see how Fox News and all the other bigots will react to their antichrist figure no longer being very important. If Obama wins, they will get even more crazy because I am sure Obama will grow a pair without the pressure of having to be reelected. I feel kind of bad that the entertainment potential of the next four years is of concern to me. lol

Yeah well luckily for you, you don't live in the states. Haven't you been paying attention? If we vote for the wrong dude we are all totally fucked. I mean with Obama chances are we will be like 20trillion in debt or something by 2016. If Romney wins then you know something else will go horribly wrong and again we'd be fucked.

It's only been November 6th in the states for the past 20 or so minutes Well in South Dakota anyways. Because you know it's still the 5th in Alaska. Anyways voting doesn't begin until the 6th so we still have a good 24 hours or so.
Re: Who Will Win 2012?
Oh I thought the vote was yesterday. Hmm I guess I remember the fifth of November

Remember Remember The Fifth of November...
Who ever does win this election don't panic... remember what the South Park episode About Last Night... taught us.

Hugeeeeeee sigh of relief. Mitten has to keep his mittens away from my uterus, healthcare, and pell grant.
Now time to sit back and watch all the bitching from the Romney supporters and smart assed posts from the Obama supporters on Facebook. *grabs a bag of Cheetos* I have hilarious relatives.
Speaking of South Park, I really hope they pick on this election.

Funny story. Apparently South Park actually did have a episode planned for this election titled 'Obama Wins!'
So... Obama actually won?
Re: Who Will Win 2012?
Mmhmm. 303 to 203 in electoral votes right now according to the Huffington Post. Just needed 270 to win. He's also now leading in the popular vote. http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/2012/results
Badass! I hope it airs. I'd love to see their take on Romney.

Haha yeah. Almost makes me wish I had Fox News(or Dawn was still in the forum ) All I see were a few Republicans on BBC I think talking about how the problems was apparently that they didn't have enough blacks in their party..
Meanwhile I really wish I could see this

Yeah, that's good. But the House is still republican dominated, which is not.

Re: Who Will Win 2012?
I have to admit I did not see this coming. It's kind of funny because I remember hearing someone say that Romney would win by a landslide.
I think it airs on the 7th. Could have worded that better in my previous post.

Re: Who Will Win 2012?
By the way I can't help but wonder. Why was your election during the middle of a work week? It seems like a very stupid day to choose if you want people to vote
Is the House more important then the senate?

It's something about the First Tuestday following the first Monday of November. Why? Hell if I know. Ok I looked it up. Apparently it's a very old and rather outdated bit of legistlation. Basically some people needed a full day to travel to their nearest voting place. Back then Sunday was also far more important then it is today. Wednesday was often Market Day for many towns.
Some people have pointed that out about voter turnout. Oh I dunno.
As for the House vs Senate. Not sure which one you might consider more important but at the end of the day neither one can operate with out the other. If the House wants to pass a bill or take action they vote on it and if the vote passes it's sent off to the Senate so they can vote.
I think it works in reverse too. If the Senate wants to pass something they also vote on it and then send it to the House. or something.
Why? I don't know. I just sorta slept through US Government class.
I do know that in some states because of the way the Electoral College is set up that in some states the Elector(a person who actually casts the vote for President) can go against his or her states majority.
So if say SD voted for Romney(which I am sure we did) our Electors or whatever can actually cast the three votes towards Obama. Though some laws have been put into place to prevent this.
or something.
Seriously how does anyone know what the fucks going on in the US government?
Re: Who Will Win 2012?
.....welll this souns more complicated. Still It's nice that Obama has his senate. I hope this means he can get at least a little stuff done
Meanwhile in more hilarious things

Re: Who Will Win 2012?
Well Obama won! I am happy about this. Even if I am not crazy about his policies, am glad Romney is not the president. My state voted for Obama! not shocker, but Minnesota did become the first state to reject a state amendment to ban Marriage. We also rejected the Voter ID amendment. LOL last night I was watching fox news (dont ask why) and they were still counting ballots even after Romney and Obama both gave their speeches. I am not gonna lie, it was hilarious.
