Do you guys volunteer?

I thought I would try my hands at it. Have any of you guys done it? And yes how did it go? I filled out a few forms and I am waiting for the callback but what happens then? Do they make you sign a contract or something? Do I have to give some kind of an oath? Is there some kinda tasks I have to go through to prove myself?

I've volunteered a ton! It's usually been through my old church.

We usually just signed up for something that they needed and did it. Depending on what is it, you'll have to sign a waiver saying that if you get hurt it's not the organization's fault but that's usually it. I've only had to do that with one organization though.

What kind of organization are you volunteering for?

I DO. I currently volunteer at a middle school near my University. I tutor 2 awesome girls on Reading. We read a chapter together once a week, and do reflections on them. I did mine throughout something called Service Learning. They didn't interview me or anything, they did however did a background check on me. Which is understandable since i work with kids.

Back in my junior year I did lots for my church, but then I moved to TX and havent really gotten back into it... I love volunteering.. it gives me a nice feeling inside lol.

Holy shit today I had my first official event with the other volunteers. This volunteering thing rocks so hard. I am loving it
