Need Something To Watch
Ok I need something to watch. I have officially unofficially have nothing to watch. Well I have somethings but nothing interests me. Nothing. Well Life Unexpected does... but that's mostly because I just finished Roswell and the actress who played Liz is in it. But yeah.
I need something to watch. ANYTHING!! Except reality shows... oh and any contest shows. Like seriously I don't care who can cook or sing or dance or pick their nose the best. Oh and... no sitcoms I guess.
Anything other then that. Just give me something. Anything. My interests are vast. Romance, drama, action, thriller, scifi, anything and I'll give it a shot.

Your wish is my command. My first suggestion is Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
It's an insanely great horror with humor elements. It tells about Tucker and Dale
Two red necks who are actually really nice guys but look scary. However a group of college thinks they are crazy serial killers and one things leads to another and it becomes a really awesome. I am 100% sure you will enjoy it. Although sadly I can't find a non megavideo source outside torrents so here you go(I suggest you just watch the movie without checking the trailer. It spoiles some of the best scenes

Re: Need Something To Watch
Was thinking more along the lines of TV shows...
but that does remind me I never did see this movie. I remember coming across it awhile back and just never got around to seeing it. Almost forgot about it. lol

What's wrong with sitcoms?
I must break the rules for The Office. I finally got into it a few days ago, and I'm already up to episode 20-something. It's addictive.

Because I want to watch a series with more of a plot to it. Most sitcoms, atleast ones I have seen, don't quite fill this need. I have no problem with watching them. I enjoy a bunch of them, but they are often something I like to watch on occassion.
Re: Need Something To Watch
Yeah but still a movie is not bad every once in a while. Try for example
Pretty decent horror and Amber Heard is beyond stunning
Also try Hall Pass. Yes it's not a very good movie but it has Nicky Whelan in it. As in the hottie Australian intern from Scrubs. As in this girl
Also try what I have been urging you to try for years

Now I know what you think. This looks like a sitcom. But it's nothing like it. The series has more plot then a dozen shows. Literally everything inside it is connected. As you get into it pretty much every episode has a dozen references to others you have plots withing plots and you get these great storylines that run throughout the entire show and make a comeback when you least expected it. Look just you really need to watch it. And don't give up. Some people need a bit of time to adjust but trust me once you are in it you will love it beyond measure. Also the cultural references they constantly make are awesome.
As a small teaser here is how the patriarch of the family thought it was a good idea to raise his kids:lol:

Re: Need Something To Watch
True enough.
Holy crap. Has it been that long? I can't believe out of everything I have considered I didn't think of watching Arrested Development.
As for the movies you are right. It's been awhile since I enjoyed a good movie, especially horror.
Thanks for the suggestions.

For shame! Come on do it. It will be awesome if someone gets it when I mention things like analarpist
Have you tried The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo? I figured you might like a movie based on a book. From what I hear it's a pretty faithful adaptation

I have heard some good things about the movie and book. It's definitely been on my list.
Re: Need Something To Watch
Ok this is not about Unit since he told me about it but I seriously suggest everybody around here watches South of Nowhere. It's a truly great show. I just finished it and wow. Well I will write the details later on when I have more time because I have almost as much to say about it as I do about Arrested Development but still in any case watch it. You can see it here

Re: Need Something To Watch
It really is. I am actually watching it for a second time right now. I can't believe I hadn't even heard of this show. It's so grat
Anyway here is another one . An oldie but a goodie
Road to Avonlea
The series is set in the fictional small town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, in the early 20th century (1903–1912). There, 11-year-old Montreal heiress Sara Stanley (Sarah Polley) is sent by her wealthy father to live with her two maiden aunts, Hetty and Olivia King, to be near her late mother's side of the family. The show's focus shifted over the years from Sara's interactions with her new-found relatives, to stories about the King family. It was partially based on the books of L.M. Montgomery

Seriously? While after finishiing a show or a book I sometimes get the urge to start it again, I can never get myself to actually do it. Well one time with Spartacus Blood and Sand/Gods of the Arena. But it was something more in the background.
While I have no problems watching most shows a second time. But I always have to wait for a good amount of time to pass before I can actually do it. Otherwise I just get distracted... well more so then usual.
Also when will I get your thoughts on Season 3?
Re: Need Something To Watch
Yup. It's boiling outside so I am stuck at home and I burned it on a dvd so I have easy access. It's not quite as good the second time because well the thrill is not the same but still quite good.
Oh right now. I am heading to write one hell of a review!
