Dawn: Chaplet to the Sacred Heart

Hey everyone, I wrote a chaplet (prayer that is prayed with beads) that I wanted to share if anyone wanted to pray it.

You say this prayer:

O precious blood of Christ, cleanse us from our sin. (x1)

Healing heart of Jesus, embrace us with your love. (x10)

Repeat those above 5x

Final Prayer:

Lord, through your compassion and love, grant us peace with the troubles of our life. Heal every hurt that we have done to others. Heal every hurt that keeps is from you. Help us come to your feet and accept your saving grace. Come to my heart Lord Jesus. We pray this through the intersession of St. Margaret Mary and His Most Sacred Heart. Amen.

Do you have a rosary? You can use that. If not then you could be creative and make a bracelet with 10 beads in one color and then one in another. Or you can just use your fingers and fold them down when you have prayed one of the prayers.

Michelle, I am so glad you are on here. We "Grok." Ever read Stranger in a Strange Land? Then you will understand better "grok" which is a difficult concept. It is an invented word in the book. Smile.

While this is nice and all, I've never understood the whole memorized prayer thing. Michelle, this is coming from your heart, but if someone else prays this, it loses so much meaning. I just don't see how God really cares about hearing your words coming out of someone else's mouth.

Not trying to be rude here. I just would love to hear a Catholic explain this to me.
