Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Nope... But then again, I'm not that into TV... Otherwise I get addicted like I am now to Doctor Who and people literally wanna shoot my cousin in the head for starting that.... Or not yet, but surely they'll want to by the end of the year, when I am asking for a sonic screwdriver and David Tennant for Christmas...
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
I've watched like 20 minutes of the first episode and thats it.

Thats right. You're into movies, like my cousin. Have you seen Wristcutters: A Love Story? She is majorly obsessed with that movie. Personally, I didn't see the genius in it. Well, maybe just a bit.

No, I don't believe I have seen that one, which is weird... It's easier for most to name movies I have seen than haven't....
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
It is rather obscure. When did you get into movies?

I have always been into them! I'm not sure when the real obsession with movies began, because it's something I've always been enthusiastic about... Even back when I was really young, if I found a movie I REALLY liked I'd get a weird obsession, want to know everything about it... I remember when I was 4, I watched The Wizard of Oz like 10 times a day for at least 3 months straight....
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
I watch Huge. I haven't seen the past 2 episodes though. I have them on my DVR and will watch them when I get back from Florida.
I like it a lot. It has a little bit of everything in it.

Yeah, and they treat issues with more sass and less inhibition than the secret life folks did.

Well, that's good, cuz I don't understand you TV people either! I mean seriously? WHy watch something and have to wait a whole week to see what happens next?
LOL! I'm kidding! There's definitely a fair share of shows I love to death.... Small share for now but a fair share overall...
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Thats what I love about t.v. The longevity.
It gives you something to think about all week. And makes for more thorough characterization. You can get in really deep if you want to.
However, every once in a while I enjoy a good movie. Mostly comedies. I have no beef with them. Its the sad ones like Brokeback Mountain or The Notebook or Hope Floats that get to me. I hate how the trajedy just speeds towards your face in a movie and you can't stop it, or just pause it like you can while reading a book. There THAT is what I hate. The sadness isn't resolved with time like with a show. Even if it ends nicely, the sad residue is still fresh.
Thanks for clearing that up for me Mel! I finally have answers!

Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Haha! That makes sense... Although I love that I didn't get addicted to Doctor Who years ago when series 1 began... I love being able to watch a whole series within 2 days! Unfortunately, I still can't get into the 5th one.... Maybe that's because I finished 1-4 and fell in love with David Tennant?
Ah...

Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Doctor Who=Possibly the BEST SHOW EVER! You should check it out sometime... Involves lots of traveling in time and space.... I have a thread about it here, if you wanna know more... SOOO AWESOME! (David Tennant, the guy I mentioned being in love with, plays The Doctor in series 2-4...)

Because its completely worth it if the show is great. Movies have such a small time frame to tell a story. In TV series you have entire seasons to develop characters, plot, and all that fun stuff.
Of course some TV series and such need to learn to die. Sometimes you only need 2 hours or so to tell the story anyways. But some stories need longer time to tell.

That is definitely one fine point you have there... Maybe I should consider producing/directing TV shows as well... *thinks* Not a bad idea!
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Quite a few Producers do both Movies and TV. Jerry Bruckheimer is a great example. He is actually Executive Producer of the CSI series, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, PotC(maybe all 4 not sure) and other movies and other shows.
If it becomes possible why would you want to limit yourself to just movies?

Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Oh, I know... Movies just seem to offer more in a sense... I definitely don't think I will be limiting myself to just movies... Especially if I do make it to moving to UK! Their TV is much better than American TV!

Pfft does the UK have the amazingly awesome X-Files? Government Conspiracy/Coverup/paranormal activity at it's finest. Does it also have the brilliantly done The 4400? Then of course you got Kyle XY along with NCIS and ever so amazing Supernatural.
Yeah I thought not!!
Then again I don't exactly know of to many shows from UK. Well aside from Doctor Who/Sarah Jane Adventures/Misfits(which is amazing)/Primeval(don't watch it) and uh... yeah!
Pfft American's pwn all else in the TV industry...

True true...
BUT the UK has David Tennant! Don't care what you say, just because of that, they are 100% superior!
Re: Dude, does anybody watch Huge?
Yeah but America has Bruce Willis. Where would the world be without John McClane?
