♥The Mom Thread♥
In lieu of all the moms, new, experienced, trying for little ones...I thought I'd make this...
A brag thread, a place to share tips, advice, ask questions, things we've learned...anything.
*Bumbo chairs are AMAZING!!!
*Moby wraps are INCREDIBLE!
*Save extra cash, pass on the bassinet, pick up a Pack n Play (we have the Graco Anabell collection) with the bassinet, changer and mobile. Not only can little ones sleep in your room but after they're so big the inserts come out to make a play pen and sleeper.
*Graco strollers and car seats are great! Being able to pull out the stroller and lock the car seat in that is great, esp if she's sleeping. But the stroller itself has a newborn lay back setting so no waiting to put her in the stroller. (We have the Darius stroller and the Ally car seat)
*A glider and ottoman have been a live saver! Being able to rock her to sleep, feedings, readings. They made those middle of the night feedings so much easier.
*A swing and bouncer chair have been great. It's so nice being able to just sit her down for a moment while I head to the bathroom, pour a drink, anything. And, she LOVES them. Esp the toys on top.

I'll start...
Lesson learned the hard way...
Just because they're the most expensive, best bottles on the market, doesn't mean your baby will love them. Brylee hated them and LOVES the Nuk bottles and nipples. Lesson learned.

Oh I just LOVE the NUK bottles and pacifiers. Kendra really likes them too. Lesson learned: Always have an extra pair of clothes laying around for mommy when you get spit up on! haha.

And, I should add...
Boppy pillows are amazing. So worth it. We pretty much use it for everything. Brylee even gets tummy time on her boppy.
And a thing we've grown to hate, Pampers with Dry Max, there's actually a class action law suit against them.

I have realized that Kendra is not a fan of her bassinet. She would rather be sitting in her boppy sleeping or snuggled up with mommy sleeping.

Hello
Just trying out this board. I'm new here.
And I just thought I would mention that you guys have cute babies and you're very lucky I have a very long reproductive history but I don't have any kids. Sucks but oh well

Thank you, Brylee is definitely a blessing. She's growing so quick.
So sorry to hear about your fertility history, I can't imagine what it must feel like I'll pray one day you get to experience motherhood.

Thank you Actually a few days ago I decided I didn't wanna try anymore because I don't wanna deal with any more miscarriages. So it will probably be awhile before that happens

Re: ♥The Mom Thread♥
It will be 3 years in August. Doesn't seem like long, but feels like forever to me. Especially because everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant with ease. It takes me atleast 6 months to a year to get pregnant, and then I have a miscarriage anyway.

Re: ♥The Mom Thread♥
Have you tried seeking a fertlity dr? Sometimes it can be treated with something as simple as hormone replacement. So sorry, it should never be that hard for trying couples.

Re: ♥The Mom Thread♥
Well, I had 2 babies before with 2 different men. They were both not planned but both with a-holes. The first was stillborn after an accident and the second I gave up for adoption. But now that I'm with the love of my life, it just doesn't seem to be going right. I am thinking though that it might be his sperm.
Well, It's hard to find insurance here that will pay for fertility and it's way too expensive

I am so sorry Have you ever tried something simple and inexpensive like a fetility monitor? I wish it was easier for you, just doesn't seem fair at all.

Re: ♥The Mom Thread♥
Actually, I have the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor. I've had it for about a year, but for the 6 months before that I was in a pregnancy study that had me use that same monitor. So I know exactly when I ovulate, and I take Clomid every month which has helped regulate me.
It is not fair, but I am glad to see good people have babies instead of my immature friends who can't handle it.

I am so sorry. I do wish and will pray that it becomes easier for you. I'm a member of thebump pregnancy and baby forums and I know a lot of ladies who after a while have had success with Clomid. I hope that's the case for you too.

Re: ♥The Mom Thread♥
I've been taking Clomid since September of last year I think. Even though it's only helped me have miscarriages I still take it because it does a lot for my cycle. I do take a high dosage though even though I was ovulating fine before I started taking it.
